SCA Tourists Guide to Reykjavik Iceland Presentation

DescriptionIndividual Presentation Assignment
Value = 15%
Learning Outcomes:
#5 Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication through the various modes of evaluation.
#6 Create engaging presentations using appropriate application software.
Instructions:
Individually design, plan, and create an engaging video presentation about a topic as determined below.
Use the techniques discussed in class and information gathered from various resources. Your presentation
should be approximately 3 – 4 minutes in duration and should include a visual aid that is about 6 to 7 slides
long plus a Works Cited slide.
Your presentation can be recorded using the PowerPoint Recording options. See the assignment folder for
this assignment on Blackboard for instructions on how to enable and use the PowerPoint Recording
features. Some other video recording options include Adobe Creative Cloud Express or a screen recorder
application (such as Screen-o-matic or OBS).
Topic:
Be our travel guide. Pick a destination of your choosing and create a presentation with an
accompanying slide show visual aid. Your presentation should highlight important tourist information or
interesting features of your chosen destination. Convince your audience that your destination should be
their next vacation.
Note: Narrow your focus. Avoid presenting on an entire country. There’s so much you could say about
any country that it wouldn’t fit in a 3 – 4 minute long presentation. Try instead to focus your presentation
on a city, a park, or a district within a city.
Think about what your destination offers. Focus on its strengths. Additionally, remember that your
viewers need to know not just what they can do at your destination, but how to get there or how much it
may cost.
Works Cited:
All images used in this presentation should be cited. If they are your images, you can site them to yourself.
Click here to see the Library Citation guide for photos and images in APA style. Add a Works Cited slide at
the end of your video with all of your citations. Up to 3 marks will be deducted from the final mark for
missing citations.
Submission Instructions:
Submit your MP4 video file to the appropriate submission link in Blackboard by Sunday, February 12, 11:59
PM EST.
